Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

- Mixing bowls
- Deep fryer or large pot
- Tongs
Steps
- Prepare Coating: In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss the chicken wings in the mixture until evenly coated.
- Fry Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the coated chicken wings in batches for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Make Sauce: In another mixing bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, and sesame oil until smooth.
- Toss and Serve: Toss the fried chicken wings in the spicy sauce until evenly coated. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
