Ingredients
- 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch size)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 8 slices deli meat (ham, turkey, or roast beef)
- 8 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or provolone)
- 1 cup fresh spinach leaves or lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced red bell peppers or cucumbers (optional, for crunch)
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Mixing bowl
- Spreading knife or spatula
- Plastic wrap
- Sharp knife
Steps
- Make the Spread: In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble the Pinwheels: Lay out a tortilla and spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture over the entire surface. Place 2 slices of deli meat on top, followed by 2 slices of cheese. Add a few spinach leaves or lettuce, and if desired, some slices of red bell pepper or cucumber for extra crunch.
- Roll the Tortilla: Starting at one end, tightly roll the tortilla into a log shape. Wrap the rolled tortilla in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Slice and Serve: Unwrap the chilled tortilla and slice it into 1-inch thick pinwheels. Arrange the pinwheel sandwiches on a platter for serving.
