Ingredients
- 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup guacamole (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup salsa or pico de gallo
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend cheese)
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (optional, for added flavor)
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- 9x13 inch dish or a large serving dish
- Spatula or spoon
- Knife and cutting board
Steps
- Prepare the Refried Beans: Spread the refried beans evenly across the bottom of your serving dish. If you'd like extra flavor, mix the beans with 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning before spreading.
- Layer the Sour Cream: Spread the sour cream over the layer of beans using a spatula.
- Add the Guacamole: Gently spread the guacamole over the sour cream layer.
- Add Salsa or Pico de Gallo: Spoon the salsa or pico de gallo over the guacamole layer, ensuring it's evenly spread.
- Sprinkle the Cheese: Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheese over the salsa layer.
- Top with Black Olives, Tomatoes, and Green Onions: Scatter the sliced black olives, diced tomatoes, and chopped green onions over the cheese layer.
- Chill and Serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips, and enjoy!
