Ingredients

  1. 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  2. 1 cup sour cream
  3. 1 cup guacamole (store-bought or homemade)
  4. 1 cup salsa or pico de gallo
  5. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend cheese)
  6. 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  7. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  8. 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  9. 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (optional, for added flavor)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  1. 9x13 inch dish or a large serving dish
  2. Spatula or spoon
  3. Knife and cutting board

Steps

  1. Prepare the Refried Beans: Spread the refried beans evenly across the bottom of your serving dish. If you'd like extra flavor, mix the beans with 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning before spreading.
  2. Layer the Sour Cream: Spread the sour cream over the layer of beans using a spatula.
  3. Add the Guacamole: Gently spread the guacamole over the sour cream layer.
  4. Add Salsa or Pico de Gallo: Spoon the salsa or pico de gallo over the guacamole layer, ensuring it's evenly spread.
  5. Sprinkle the Cheese: Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheese over the salsa layer.
  6. Top with Black Olives, Tomatoes, and Green Onions: Scatter the sliced black olives, diced tomatoes, and chopped green onions over the cheese layer.
  7. Chill and Serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips, and enjoy!
