Ingredients
- 1 lb fettuccine pasta
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Large skillet
- Large pot for pasta
- Colander
- Whisk
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Knife and cutting board
Steps
- Cook Pasta: Boil fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season and Cook Chicken: Season chicken pieces with cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make Sauce: In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add butter and whisk until melted.
- Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine Everything: Return chicken to the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Toss everything together for 2 minutes until well coated and heated through.
- Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
